love the architecture
If you haven’t been to Monaco before, you must add this tiny but amazing country to your bucket list! Besides being on the gorgeous French Riviera (Cote d’Azur if you rather call it by the French name) and overlooking the magical Mediterranean sea it just is such a small, walk able and amazing place. Monaco has this reputation for glitz and glam, which isn’t unwarranted but you will also find a romantic side to the tiny little country surrounded by France. The gardens are magical too, as you will soon see in part 2.
the classy outside of the hotel
Yes I am going to be writing and blogging this session in 2 parts on my blog, since there is just too much to put in just 1 blog post. I’m sure you will agree!
I was contacted by the most lovely newlyweds who planned their trip from Asia to celebrate their honeymoon. I know I call it a pre-wedding, because it has this feel pre-wedding feel to it and honeymoon photography isn’t really common. Although I totally think a honeymoon or anniversary photography session in Monaco or the French Riviera is totally a fab idea! We must make this idea more popular!
love the architecture
We met at the couple’s gorgeous hotel, the Hermitage Hotel of Monaco. Now if you have never been to a 5 star hotel, this may not be the ideal first time five start hotel, you may be spoiled for all future hotel visits to come! The grounds themselves lend to the most amazing view of the sea and perfect locations for gorgeous portraits, as you can see! The inside of the hotel is pure luxury and glamour.
so romantic
I have to mention I am always thrilled to photograph women from Asia as they are just gorgeous and I was not disappointed with this amazing new bride from Japan. I love the dress and men’s attire choices, down to the shoes! Just perfect, perfect and perfect! She had her hair professionally styled locally, and you will agree with me that they did an amazing job. There is a very big Grace Kelly feel, which is what the new bride was looking for. I think we nailed it.
so romantic this, the glass roof is amazing
There is no lacking in gorgeous areas to photograph in this hotel, I am only posting a selection, can you even imagine there is much more than this! And as you may know from my work and my blog, I love chandeliers and old world glamour and gorgeous belle époque like architecture, so yes I was in love.
love the chandeliers
what a gorgeous backdrop
i have a thing for chandeliers
Did I mention the sea view terrace yet? It’s gorgeous and you can even have a drink or little bite to eat here, but lucky for us it was empty and all for us to adore and explore. And even a bit of dancing. And yes the flowers and trees are on the same terrace, amazing ay!
looking at the sea
another beautiful portrait
the owl is watching
gorgeous spot on the terrace
one of my fav shots from this location
gorgeous details on the terrace
and they danced
authentic smiles are so lovely
After we photographed at the hotel we then took a walk to the amazing gardens and finished off in front of the casino gardens with the background of the Mediterranean. You can spend a whole day and not explore even half of this romantic city! (coming in part 2!!!)
Of course during your stay make sure you visit the casino and have to pay a visit to the designer shops that line the streets, and for coffee lovers you will be happy to know that although one of the smallest countries in the world, they have their very own Starbucks! No lack of things to do, places to sip a glass of wine or coffee and just breathe in the lovely fresh sea air.
If you are looking to get married in Monaco, a pre-wedding, engagement, honeymoon or a love session just for fun I’d love to design together your dream photography session in this magical location.

What an interesting comment and thank you Doru, I like to think all of my brides are princesses, in a gorgeous location unlike where they live living a little in the past wanting to capture the gorgeousness from far away times. I swoon right along them with the amazing architecture and luxury little details.

There is just about no words to describe how absolutely stunning your work is! I have never been to Monaco and wow I am definitely going to add to my to do list. All the architecture is so stunning and breath taking, you photos just drawl you in and for a moment I caught myself with the biggest smile as if I was there! Wow, the one with both of them so close in white and the scene is all white, just felt so fresh. Pure love, great work!!
