I am delighted to share this gorgeous glamorous intimate Paris Elopement from the beginning of March. D & G chose an intimate Paris wedding with their closest friends and decided to make a lovely trip out of the occasion. I love all weddings big and small but I do love the small intimate ones so much!
We began the day at the Renaissance Paris Le Parc Trocadero Hotel for a private first look. This is a newer concept in wedding photography and I thought it would be perfect for D&G! A first look is when a couple have a private moment before the ceremony to see each other for the first time. Usually this is the first time the groom has seen his bride to be all dressed beautifully in her wedding dress before the wedding. Sometimes after the first look a couple will choose to also have the family group shots taken at this time to get them out of the way.
For the first look we choose the little garden the Renaissance Paris Le Parc Trocadero Hotel has at their amazing 5 star hotel. It is a fab choice if you are looking for a luxurious hotel in an ideal location in Paris.
I always love to see the grooms reaction to seeing their bride for the first time in a setting like this, there is no pressure like you would have at a normal ceremony or church setting. They can express verbally their excitement and happiness and the couple can share the special moment without being disturbed. It was magical.
The bride picked out a lovely birdcage veil headpiece with a lovely updo. There was a 50’s vintage glamour feeling to her choices and the faux fur wrap a perfect addition to the strapless dress. Very old Hollywood glamour with the addition of white elbow length gloves and finished off with gorgeous sparkly heels. Simple but luxurious pink roses where her floral bouquet choice and the colour was just the perfect splash of colour against her white dress.
We then traveled on to the consulate for a small intimate ceremony. The groom had a very special gift for his bride and champagne and chocolates were to hand. And as always I cried. I seem to cry at every ceremony big or small at some point, and even more than once. I really do feel the honour of being chosen to capture such a special event. I love to get to know the couples I photograph and often reflect back on the memories and funny stories from the day.
We then went on to the Trocadero for portraits. As common practice for many Paris Weddings and Paris Elopements the lady of iron, aka the Eiffel Tower or en français la tour Eiffel likes to be part of the day! As always she was a very lovely background and gleamed in the sunshine.
D&G were blessed to have glorious warm sunshine on their wedding day! Now for those of you that have not been to Paris in March I can promise you this is quite rare! Paris is amazing come rain or shine, but such a warm day the beginning of March Is a rare treat!
Last on our list was the other side of the Champ de Mars for another perspective of the Eiffel Tower and a little more space and privacy. More friends joined the bridal party and they had their own little champagne reception at the park.
Again we had warm beautiful sunshine which was just lovely! Much happiness, joy and love was in the air for their Intimate Paris Wedding! Thank you D&G for having me present to capture your day!
